While the pandemic rages on in some parts of the world, in the Netherlands we are ready for the third consecutive relaxation. After earlier easing towards schools and small catering establishments, another easing took effect on the 1st of July. That’s some pretty good news, because let’s face it: it’s past time you came by for your next Amsterdam visit, right?
We would like to explain to you in this article what this means for you and for our beautiful city of Amsterdam! If you can’t wait until the end of this article, you can already buy a train ticket to Amsterdam here. Because spoiler alert: Amsterdam will open further! Come back! We have missed you!
Some Rules For Your Amsterdam Visit
Of course, even though we can’t wait to see you, some rules still govern your Amsterdam visit. Coughing in your elbow, staying in when you have mild) symptoms, and washing your hands often should be standard by now. The rule to keep as far as 1.5 meters away remains unaffected. This does not apply to people who live in one household, but certainly to tourists and day-trippers who come to visit Amsterdam.
The most important news is that all shops are open again, bars can serve delicious drinks again and restaurants are open once again to serve the most delicious dishes. And when we say all shop, we do mean every one of them: the coffee shops are open to take your orders!
Good news for the entire tourism sector in Amsterdam and the rest of the country. Yes, there there is still a limit of up to 100 customers per venue. Rest assured, though: Amsterdam has enough space for you. There’s room for everyone to enjoy a lovely terrace or take a seat in their favorite restaurant!

You must also wear a face mask in taxis, passenger vans and on coaches.
You should have a health check before you travel.
